Audi Q3 Review
The Q3 will be the smallest Audi ‘Q’ model and it will compete with the likes of the BMW X1. This will be Audi's premium SUV in a compact form. The Audi Q3 will cost something similar to the BMW X1 and is expected to be launched something early in 2012.
The Audi Q3 is likely to come with a petrol and diesel engine option, which will be mated to dual-clutch S-Tronic transmission. We expect the top-of-the-line variants to come equipped with the quattro system as well.
Specs (Speculated)
Engine: 2.0 TDI
CarWale's Words: The BMW X1 is a big hit, and Audi could just spoil BMW's plan.
Audi India has recorded tremendous sales increases over this year and they are not planning on slowing down. In order to catch up with Mercedes and BMW, Audi India will now add more products to their line-up including cheaper and smaller ones such as the A3. The A3 will be the company’s entry-level sedan and will cost roughly Rs 22 lakh.
The overall trend in India seems to be going the diesel way, so it is no surprise that the A3 will sport a 2-litre 4 cylinder TDI engine but there will also be 1.8 litre and 2.0 litre petrol engines available.
It is also likely to be mated with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DSG auto transmission. The car will come standard with Audi safety technology and features.
